Laurie Mika's workshop

As I already told you I attended Lauries Mika's class last Friday. Laurie is such a nice person. she was very generous sharing her knoledge with the class. I I really liked the fact that she is not measuring all the time and lets her creativity lead the way for her and oh boy, she does have tons of creativity. After the class I went back home and played a little and then it occured to me that I have 2 books dealing with surface design that can really be an inspiration for Lauries style of work

the first is Donna Kato's - The art of Polymer clay creative surface effects

The second is Ellen Marshall's - Polymer clay surface design receipes which also includes wonderful inspiration and techniques.

If you need more inspiration of Laurie's work you can also purchase her book in which she shares the stories behind each work.

have fun - this is really addicting

Home sweet home

Well I can assure you that it was not on purpose but the fact is that since I started creating again in my new studio I find myself creating things that are related to "home" like this hamsa with home blessing on it or these letters spelling the word "home" which can be hang with a double sided tape (included) on the entrence to any home.

It is weird how are state of mind is influencing our art isn't it?

needless to say the items below can be found on my etsy shop
