I know this title sound big but I think it is...
Idit Zoota published a wonderful breakthrough in reducing a flower cane with no backround.
following are the picture she posted in the Israeli forum with a translationto English.
the initial cane is a "regular" flower cane. this specific cane was made by
Yonat Dascalo the only difference is that before adding the backround she wrapped the flower with playdough
YES!!! PLAYDOH...

since the playdough is based on water it will not stick to the clay. after reducing the flower to the desirable size you can just peal off the backround.

this is how it will look like with no backround.

this is a slice from the cane. if the slice is ditorted while cutting you will be able to move the petals and fix it

In order to remove any playdoh leftover you can just soak the slice/cane in water

Let dry

This is the clean cane

now you can use the cane on any backround

now, can you relate to the the feeling I had when seeing this post. again, all credit is to Idit and Yonat for playing and testing AND sharing their discovery.
