I think it is official, I am addicted to making Kaleidescopes.this time I made anecklace that I strung on a premade macrame necklace. I think it adds a bit of laxury look to it.
I put it up for sale on my Etsy.

אני חושבת שזה רשמי- אני מכורה להכנת קליידוסקופים. הפעם הכנתי את השרשרת בליווי שרשרת מקרמה תואמת שמקנה לה מראה יוקרתי יותר

watch parts and PC

Adria Filion from clay cave made this cute heart accented with the watch part. the grey backround and the watch parts makes it excelent man jewelry.

CF wrote a free project for making a steampunk heart which you can dowmload at http://www.cforiginals.net/steampunkhearts.pdf?id=549529

another way of incorporating steampunk into your clay heart is shown here by sparkelbee gems

since we are celebraring Hanukka how about using the steampunk on your Chanukiah?

Kathi fron the dragonsglass did and made this weird looking dragon

how can we talk of steampunk and not show what CF is making with them? she is such a talented artist..

look what Eugina has made with steampunk parts. Euginas work is always so fine to the details and very harmonic to the eye.
she also sells a tutorial for making this butterfly on her Etsy store

Dreidel

Dreidel, originally uploaded by * naamaza *.

Chanukah is almost here and I still can't stop making these cute dreidels.
this year, besides giving them as presents to family and friends and besides selling them I got a custom order from a guy that collects dreidels as a hobby and wanted to include my dreidels in his collection. I find it quite exciting. he left me the choice which dreidel to pick and I found that it is really hard... :-)

New Pendant

I made this Kaleidescope cane last week with Studio clay. I just love the cool color combination it has. this pendant is app. 5 CM in diameter and it includes a swarowsky rivoli in the center.

Clay woman

Clay woman, originally uploaded by * naamaza *.

I started taking Ceramic lessons a month ago. The goal was to learn working on the wheel. Although I was told by other how hard it will be I had no idea until I started... so I work on the wheel most of the class and when I am exhausted I go to the "familiar" sculpting.
This is my first Clay creation - at first I didn't like her too much- her proportions are not perfect and she has a sad look but I change my mind as the days go by. now her sad look looks tender to me and her proportions looks OK since she is pregnant and I don't know any woman that was pregnant and left with normal body proportions (well, if I meet any I just say that this is not normal hihih)

New find for a glass like finish

I accidently found a great substitute for the cold enamel on polymer clay. the problem with the cold enamel is that it needs to much attention when applying it to the clay, smells terribly and some brands shrink within time or peel off...
so I tried using Plaid's glass like finish for paper and it is awsome.

it is very user freindly. here are some of the Pro's -
  • you can apply it directly from the bottle- no need for measurements
  • dries very quickly
  • very easy to clean
  • water based
  • shines like cold enamel
  • relatively inexpensive

here is an example for the look of the final product- see how shiny it is?

I first applied it to my items last May and until now no reaction with the clay accured or any other disaster.

I LOVE this stuff
