this brooch can look good on a teacher's shirt... keeping an eye on the pupils :-) the eye is made of ready made acrilic eye used for doll making.

more from the Sisyphean line

a new brooch from the new line.
talking about being sick- not only that I added little size 11 seed beads to the brooch, one by one, I also put them on their side so that the hole will not be seen add that to multiple baking and finishing touches and what do you get? no, don't tell me... I assume it is something better for me not to know :-)

I need to find a name for this line - can't go with the "Sisyphean line" too far - any ideas?

Pendant

Pendant, originally uploaded by * naamaza *.

I am playing with a new technique in the last couple of weeks combining tiny clay stripes and beads. this is a Sisyphean work but there is something very relaxing in this process.

Custom Order

I usually don't like taking custom orders. I find it very stressful but once in a while I get intridued and agree to the project.
So the order was for a mezuzah that is devided to sections in colors of orange/green/red/blue.

as a warm-up I prepared this first mezuzah, devided into sections but not in the agreed colors.

then I made this one with cane leftovers from the stripe cane tutorial . still, not in the right colors.

O.k. it's time to work... I made two options for the customer to choose from.

and this was the one that she picked - I just got a call telling me that it arrived safely and that she is very happy with it... sigh...

I used the new Studio Satin varnish as a finishing coat- I love the effect that is has on a sanded surface - it is like going WITH and feeling WITHOUT...

liquid clay

personally I am not the liquid clay type.. never tries drawing with it or make faux lampwork beads. BUT - how can one stay indifferent when looking at the beuty of this piece, created by Bettina from Beadworks.
this pendant resembles watercolor, it is so delicate and well made.
shae has couple of other ones in this technique which you should not skip

hidden magic tutorial

I remember when this technique was first published in the PolymerCafe magazine (was it in 2004?) - it was such a hit and everyone were making pretties with it.

so that it is available on line and I can only expect the same reaction from people...
