Found a happy home

made this bowl a while back and since I apploaded it to my Etsy store it was highly rated and was featured constantly on treasures.
although it was very nice to know that people like my work there is no greater pleasure than knowing that the person who finally owns the peice like it too.
the bowl was bought just before Christmas as a holiday gift to a freind of the buyer. I know the buyer liked it when she got it but today I got an email from the the buyer's freind who it was bought for and this mail made me very happy.

this is what is says:

"I am the most fortunate recipient of the lovely millefiori bowl you made. My friend ............bought it for me. She and I have been best friends for many years and always exchange wonderful Christmas presents. She told me when she bought and received the bowl she wanted to keep it! I've decided that next Christmas I would like to make that wish come true and buy one of your pieces for her! ............................."

I feel so happy now that my art is now in a happy and loving home.

I bought few metal birds few years ago and sold them very fast. this week I found 2 leftovers and decided to cover them in a different funkier way.
this is the first one and the second is yet to be covered.

enjoy!

African Line

we just got back from Tanzania, a wonderful country with amazing view and people.
one of the things that you see most in the suvenier shops is the african style images sculpted out from natural wood. this gave me the inspiration for this line of images which i sculpted with polymer clay and decorated with beads and wire.
